A plumber by trade, I became seriously interested in birds of prey in the 1990's. This led me to work with nationally prominent raptor biologists on various species until I was able to obtain a hard to obtain Federal Master Raptor Banding Permit and start my own local raptor banding project. I continue to monitor and band local raptors, work as a hired field man for professional raptor biologists from time to time, and comment and fight for science-based conservation of species and habitats. I enjoy sharing field experiences and knowledge gained from intimate work with raptors over a number of years including many species and habitats.
